In your logbook sheets you should explain the facts of the matter and explain what you did to ensure you met the timescale or deadline.
You should attach supporting evidence that shows you expeditiously progressed a matter without delay (e.g. chaser letters or letters sent to third parties to ensure action is taken to meet the deadline).
