All CILEX members, CILEX Practitioners and CILEX Authorised Entities are regulated by us and they, including the officers, owners, managers and employees in our regulated firms, are required to comply with the Code of Conduct.
CILEX-ACCA Probate Entities are also regulated by us and are required to comply with their own Code of Conduct in the CILEx Regulation-ACCA handbook.
All applicants and regulated members are required to self-declare conduct that may affect their suitability to become or remain a CILEX member or regulated person, this is called prior conduct.
The enforcement team (where appropriate) review and investigate prior conduct and information received from third parties which may amount to misconduct. They may refer matters or complainants to other regulators or third parties where this may be the most appropriate action.
