New Director of Authorisation and Supervision

 

Vicky Purtill, Director of authorisation and supervision

 

CILEx Regulation Limited (CRL) will welcome Vicky Purtill as its new director of authorisation and supervision on 1 February 2017. Vicky joins CRL from CILEx, where she was director of education.

 

Vicky previously worked at CRL then known as ILEX Professional Standards for three years and during this time was responsible for a number of education policy initiatives including the research, development and implementation of the new CPD scheme for CILEx members.

 

Other projects Vicky has contributed to whilst at CRL include changing the qualification process for CILEx Fellowship to introduce Work-based Learning as part of the assessment; working as part of the Joint Advocacy Group with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board to develop the Quality Assurance Scheme for Advocates (QASA); and involvement in the Legal Education and Training Review (LETR).

 

Speaking about her new role, Vicky said: “I am delighted to be returning to CILEx Regulation and am very much looking forward to the exciting opportunities that this new role will bring.”

 

Vicky has also worked as a lecturer at a number of higher and further education institutions, including the Open University. Specialising in criminal and public law, she has also taught the CILEx level 6 qualifications and worked as a module leader. Vicky has an LL.M in Public Law from University College London.
