CPD 2021 submission deadline

The 2021 CPD submission deadline has now passed.

CPD record updates via your myCILEX portal* (via the `My CPD’ section) were required before the 30 September 2021. If you have had any difficulties with this or have any queries, please email – cpd@cilexregulation.org.uk.

Your CPD is linked to your Practising Certificate

It is important to remember that your CPD record is closely linked to your practising certificate eligibility. To renew your practising certificate, you need to: submit your CPD annually and have your record marked as ‘completed’; make the annual conduct declaration via myCILEx or MyCRL and pay the renewal fee.

If your CPD record is marked as ‘non-compliant’ then you will not be eligible for a practising certificate and your details will not be displayed on the CILEx Authorised Practitioner Directory. Without a practising certificate, you are not entitled to sign legal documents as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Are you eligible for a dispensation or reduction?

CPDWe are able to offer CPD dispensations where a minimum period of six months (between 1st October 2020 – 30th September 2021) has been spent out of employment. If you think you may be eligible for this dispensation, please contact CPD@cilexregulation.org.uk and advise us of the dates of your break from employment. We can then consider waiving your 2020/2021 CPD requirements.

Are you a Graduate member in the process of completing your Work Based Learning portfolio? If so, you may be eligible for a reduction in the number of CPD outcomes you are required to record for the period 1st October 2020 – 30th September 2021. Please contact us at CPD@cilexregulation.org.uk to request this reduction.

Please review your CPD record on myCILEx or MyCRL by 30 September 2021. If any year is marked as ‘non-compliant’, please contact us for more details at cpd@cilexregulation.org.uk. Please access our CPD page for further information.
