Our consultation Specialist Regulation for the Future of an independent Profession has now closed. Thank you to everyone who responded to the consultation and attended our webinars.
We are now looking through all responses with a view to publishing the results mid July.
Next steps
- 26 June 2023 – end of the consultation period, we will review and analyse responses.
- 12 July – CRL Board meets to review responses and finalise our proposals for change.
- Mid July – CRL to publish summary of responses and proposals for change.
- Late July – CILEX to publish a consultation on SRA’s proposals and CRL’s proposals (probable 3 month consultation)
- Late November – CILEX and CRL to agree way forward and make proposals for any rule changes to Legal Services Board.
- LSB will take up to 3 months on any rule change application.
