We are very pleased to announce that the Legal Services Board has now approved CRL’s application to change the Practitioner Authorisation Rules. This means that we are now able to authorise CILEX Practitioners with litigation and advocacy rights and Chartered Legal Executive Advocates for Higher Rights of Audience.
Eligible CILEX Members will be able to undertake additional training and assessment to complete one of the following standards:
- CILEX Higher Court Advocates for Civil Proceedings
- CILEX Higher Court Advocates for Criminal Proceedings
We are currently in negotiations with an Approved Training Provider who will provide delivery of the training and assessments. We are currently finalising the details of this new offering and will be publishing further updates (including eligibility criteria and how to apply), in the near future.
