CRL at the Reshaping Legal Services Conference 2025

CRL had the pleasure of attending the Reshaping Legal Services 2025 conference in London on 6 March 2025. The event, organised by the Legal Services Board and Legal Services Consumer Panel, brings together lawyers, regulators, academics, students, judges, charities and advice agencies – all working to improve legal services for those who need them.

There was a packed agenda with a diverse range of top-class speakers and thought-provoking panel discussions. The three main themes were:

  • Exploring creative ways to improve access to justice through collaboration and learning from international approaches.
  • Rebuilding public trust and confidence in the legal profession by raising ethical standards in legal services. This included the launch of the LSB’s consultation on its proposed statement of policy on Upholding Professional Ethical duties.
  • Encouraging a fair, healthy, diverse and inclusive legal profession.

Reflecting on the conference, CRL CEO John Barwick commented:

“CRL thanks the LSB and LSCP for organising such an insightful and thought-provoking conference.  My main take away from the conference was that purposeful cross-sector collaboration needs to be at the centre of reshaping legal services. CRL will continue to play its part in driving meaningful change which benefits the public and consumers.”
