CILEx Regulation (CRL) are today republishing the 2026 practising certificate fee consultation.
The initial consultation period ran from 21 July to 31 August 2025, a time when individuals may have had annual leave or other commitments. The decision to extend the response deadline has been made in order to allow additional time for the regulated community to consider and have their say in this key matter for CILEX members.
We have therefore decided to extend the consultation until Monday September 15th 2025.
This year we have again looked to keep cost increases to the absolute minimum with a proposed below inflation increase to CRL’s proportion of the PCF fee.
The consultation includes details of:
- how the fee for 2026 has been calculated
- the fee distribution between CRL and CILEX
- how fees will be utilised
- a breakdown of how the 2025 practising fee has been used so far this year.
We want to hear your views on our proposals. We would therefore invite you to submit your response by the extended deadline of 15 September 2025.
