What is a CILEX Practitioner?
A CILEX Practitioner is a lawyer who has a practice right in a specific area of law. This means that we authorise them to carry out work in the specific areas of law.
To gain a practice right, individuals are required to undergo a rigorous authorisation process to demonstrate to us that they have the right knowledge, skills and experience in their specialist area of law.
You can find, or check that a person is, a CILEX Practitioner on our CILEX Authorised Practitioner Directory. See the types of CILEX Practitioner below.
