Our second full CRL Board meeting of 2025 took place online on 15 April 2025.
Areas for discussion included: A performance update including this year’s LSB Regulatory Performance Assessment and our agreed actions; Governance, including a review of our Risk Appetite Statement and an update on our current recruitment activity; our Education (and training objectives), plus an update on our current consultation regarding stand-alone litigation practice rights.
The board also discussed our Growth objectives and how best we can contribute to the growth agenda plus a continued move towards a stronger risk based system of regulation, a theme that emerged from the CRL roundtable hosted in February in relation to the unregulated legal sector.
