CRL to increase application fees

CRL have undertaken a review of the application fees charged for the required stages of the various routes to qualification and we have reluctantly concluded that some of these need to be increased.

The application fees are set on a cost neutral basis (ie. designed to cover the immediate costs), taking into account the fees paid to external assessors and the time taken by the Practitioner Authorisation and Supervision (PAS) Team in dealing with individual applications. They have not been reviewed for a number of years and the higher fees reflect the increased time taken by both assessors and the team.

We understand that fee increases at any time are unwelcome and have therefore tried to limit the increases as far as possible.

Application fee charges from 1 July 2025 will be revised as follows:

Certificate of Eligibility

Application to gain authorisation for Litigation Certificate and permission to undertake Advocacy Skills Course. Administration undertaken by CRL Staff with assessment conducted by External Experts.

Current application fee: £110.00
