On International Women’s Day 2024, we reflect on the fantastic achievements of the talented women we regulate who have succeeded in securing a legal career via the CILEX route.
As our recent Diversity Data report reveals, we regulate the highest percentage of females, 77% across the legal sector and the same percentage have progressed to qualify as Chartered Legal Executives.
However, while there is much to celebrate, there is more work to be done to improve career progression and equality of opportunity for women as highlighted in the recent Young Foundations research Beyond Buzzwords.
We will continue to work with regulators and others in the legal sector to support change.
